What is the Ilkley Business Awards event?
It’s the biggest business event of the year and if you’re a new business in LS29 we highly recommend entering / sponsoring as there’s lots of social media and printed coverage during the lead-up to the event, the night itself and the weeks following too. Imagine winning!
When is the Ilkley Business Awards event?
It takes place on Friday 6th March 2026 with welcome drinks at 18:30. It’s a black tie event and each ticket includes a three course sumptuous dinner (menu choices will be sent out nearer to the event date). There’s lots of entertainment too!
Am I eligible to enter?
The only stipulation is that your business is located in LS29 or that your business is registered in LS29.
Can I enter more than one category?
Absolutely. Please ensure that you address the separate entry criteria for each award you are entering as different information is required for each category you enter.
Will my application remain confidential?
Yes.
Who are the judges?
The committee are not involved in the judging process and will not be privy to the discussions leading to the selection of the short-lists. The panel of independent judges always have a wealth of business experience and to maintain impartiality, we are always very careful to ensure that judging of the entries is carried out by business experts from outside Ilkley. This means the judges have no prior knowledge of your business so make sure you tell them your story.
Past judges have included lecturers from the Leeds University Business School, the President of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce, a successful business owner who has judged the Institute of Directors Awards, an experienced business coach and many others.
Will I get any feedback on my entry?
All entries will be acknowledged but as the awards always attract huge interest and many entries are received, we are sorry that it is not possible to give individual feedback on entries.
How do I sponsor the Ilkley Business Awards?
You can sponsor an award category or areas of the event, such as welcome drinks, table favours & decorations etc. All details can be found here: Sponsorship Packages.
